What Plai collects, and why

- Your chats, prompts, agent output and audio stay on your computer. Plai never collects them.
- The waitlist stores your email and any optional answers you give, to invite you to the beta.
- Usage counters in the beta app are off by default. If you turn them on, they contain no content.
- No ads, no tracking, no cookies on this site, and we never sell your data.
Who we are
Plai is made by Symbiotic Labs LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company in the United States. Questions or requests: hello@symbiotic.build.
This website
plai.sh sets no cookies and runs no analytics or third-party scripts; its fonts are served from plai.sh itself. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which handles your connection to deliver and protect it.
The waitlist
When you join, we store:
- your email address;
- your optional answers: operating system, agents you use, how many sessions you run at once, and how you heard about Plai;
- the time you signed up.
We use this to invite you, to draw beta batches at random while keeping them balanced across agents and platforms, and to decide which platform comes after macOS. We do not store your IP address or browser details with your sign-up. The list is kept in a Cloudflare database. We keep your entry until the waitlist closes or until you ask us to remove it, whichever comes first.
Beta sign-in
You sign in once, in your browser, with a link we email to you; there are no passwords. Our server checks that your email is on the invite list and gives the app a 30-day sign-in that renews silently. If you are offline or our server is down, Plai's local features keep working.
Usage counters in the app
Off by default. At first run the app shows the exact table below and a "Share usage counters" switch. You can change the choice anytime in Settings.
The app writes events to a local file that you can open from Settings. It uploads them only if sharing is on, at most once a day, over HTTPS to our server. Events are linked to a random install ID. The server links that ID to your account email only to join counters with check-ins and support tickets.

Never collected
- chat or prompt text, agent output or transcripts;
- audio;
- project names, file paths or window titles;
- other running apps;
- any keystroke content;
- IP addresses (beyond transient server logs, rotated after 7 days).
Check-ins and support
Beta testers get a short weekly check-in (how useful Plai was, the biggest annoyance, and whether it caught an agent waiting on you) and may be invited to an interview. Answering is up to you. When you report a bug, you choose whether to attach a diagnostics export; the app redacts it before you see it.
How long we keep it
Raw counter events are deleted 90 days after the beta run ends. Only aggregates are kept.
Your choices
- Turn usage counters on or off anytime in Settings.
- Delete your data from Settings, or by emailing hello@symbiotic.build.
- Leave the waitlist, or ask what we hold about you, by emailing the same address.
Changes
If this notice changes, we update the date above. If a change affects what the app collects, beta testers hear about it by email before it takes effect.
